Missed out on grabbing a church bulletin? No worries! Here are a list of events going at TCOTWSC straight form the bulletin with some extra additions as well.
At The Church On The Way Santa Clarita, we want to partner with you through life's big events - whether that's taking the step toward water baptism, or planning a wedding or memorial service. Look through the list below for various ministries and resources to help meet your needs during these important times.
These ministries are led by our Congregational Care Pastor, Gary Howse, and our New Life and Prayer Ministry Pastor, Steve Staples.
Water baptism is an outward sign of an inward work in our lives, and an important step in our walk with God. The baptism process includes a 45-minute class prior to the service. This class is taught by one of our church elders, and goes over the basics of what it means to be baptized.
Water baptisms are twice a month: one Wednesday and one Sunday each month. If you would like to be baptized during an upcoming service, please email Pastor Steve Staples. Wednesday water baptisms take place during our midweek service, with the class beginning at 6pm. Sunday water baptisms take place during our 11:30am service, with class beginning at 10:30am.
We believe that each baby is a gift from God, and that it is our responsibility as parents to raise our children that they may serve the Lord. While some churches baptize infants, we choose to dedicate them to the Lord, like Jesus was dedicated in the temple in Luke 2:22-38. This act of faith is a public declaration by the parents that says, "We are committed to raising our child to follow Christ."
We recommend scheduling your baby dedication for when your child is between 2-6 months old. We typically dedicate babies on Sundays during our 11:30 service. To schedule a baby dedication, please email Pastor Gary Howse.
We recognize that the loss of a loved one can be devastating. Our church team will help you walk through this difficult time. We partner with you to plan a service for your loved one, so that all the details are taken care of. We also team you up with our Compassion team and our Grief Share program, to make sure you are able to start the healing process. If you need to plan a memorial service, please email Pastor Gary Howse.
